This Butter Board puts a Louisiana twist on a modern entertaining trend. Smooth, seasoned butter is blended with Cajun spices, garlic, and a hint of cayenne, then topped with fresh herbs and flaked sea salt. It’s a simple yet stunning appetizer perfect for any gathering.
Butter Board
Makes 4 to 6 servings
Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 3 cups halved radishes
- ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- Flaked sea salt
- Baguette slices, to serve
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together 3 cups water and kosher salt until salt dissolves. Add radishes; cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- In a small bowl, stir together butter, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and cayenne until well combined. Spread butter mixture onto desired serving platter. Top with green onion, parsley, and sea salt.
- Drain radishes, and pat dry. Arrange radishes around butter as desired. Serve with baguette.
