Strawberry Balsamic Bruschetta

Every bite of this Strawberry Balsamic Bruschetta bursts with a delightful contrast of sweet, tangy, and herbal flavors. 

Strawberry Balsamic Bruschetta
 
Makes 10 to 12 Servings
Ingredients
  • 1 (16-ounce) container fresh strawberries, trimmed and quartered
  • 3 tablespoons white balsamic glaze
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 24 (¼-inch-thick) slices
  • French baguette
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup mascarpone cheese
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
  • Garnish: thinly sliced fresh basil, flaked sea salt
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine strawberries, balsamic glaze, and kosher salt. Let stand for 1 hour.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°.
  3. On a baking sheet, place baguette slices, and drizzle with oil.
  4. Bake until golden brown, about 8 minutes. Let cool completely.
  5. In another medium bowl, whisk together mascarpone, cream, and confectioners’ sugar until smooth. Spread mascarpone mixture on one side of each baguette slice. Top with strawberry mixture, and garnish with basil and sea salt, if desired.
