Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Garlic and Herbs Cheese

Makes 4 to 6 servings
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon white pepper blend Cajun seasoning
  • 1 (8-ounce) beef tenderloin, butterflied
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 (4-ounce) package garlic and herbs cheese, softened
  • 6 to 8 toasted baguette slices
  • Garnish: flaked sea salt, sliced green onion
Instructions
  1. In a shallow bowl, stir together melted butter and Cajun seasoning. Add beef, turning to coat both sides.
  2. In a 10-inch cast-iron skillet, heat oil over medium high-heat. Add beef, and cook until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer beef to a plate, and let rest for about 10 minutes. Cut beef into about 1-inch bite-size slices.
  3. Spread cheese onto baguette slices. Top with beef and pan drippings. Garnish with sea salt and green onion, if desired.
