A grand 19½-foot Christmas tree in the lobby is bedecked with more than 25,000 mini white lights, a classic toy train around the base, and more than 1,500 feet of gold magnolia garland. Other decorations throughout the hotel include Colorado blue spruce trees festooned with more than 3,000 ornaments, and 6-foot gold magnolia wreaths in the main lobby windows. Guests may write their holiday wishes on complimentary holiday ornaments and hang them on the Windsor Wishes tree in the lobby.
Windsor Court’s hallmark holiday event is Holiday Tea in Le Salon, a tradition that has been a part of New Orleans’ holiday festivities for more than 30 years. The service includes a pot of tea, a selection of English tea sandwiches, seasonal scones with clotted cream, gourmet desserts, and a specialty cocktail or glass of sherry or sparkling wine. Reservations are required and highly coveted.
