Raw Oysters with Chile-Lime Mignonette Sauce
 
Makes 12 Servings
Ingredients
  • 1 shallot, minced (about ¼ cup)
  • ¼ cup Champagne vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 12 cold shucked fresh oysters
  • Garnish: lime zest
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine shallot, vinegar, lime zest and juice, Cajun seasoning, and red pepper. Serve with oysters. Garnish with lime zest, if desired.
Notes
Oysters can be served in the natural shell or ceramic shells.
