Here at Louisiana Cookin’, we believe in the power of community, good food, and giving back. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to partner with the American Cancer Society’s Junior Executive Board for their annual Shuck Cancer event. This isn’t just another oyster festival, folks—it’s a party with a purpose!

Taking place on Thursday, November 21st, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Champions Square, Shuck Cancer brings together the best of New Orleans for a night of delicious food, fantastic drinks, and live music, all in support of a truly worthy cause.

Attendees can enjoy oysters prepared in a variety of ways, perfectly paired with wines and spirits, savor dishes from over 30 of the best local restaurants, enjoy live music, and bid on incredible items in the silent auction. All the while, contributing to the fight against cancer.

Since its inception in 2018, Shuck Cancer has raised over one million dollars for the Louisiana Patient Transportation Grant Program. This program helps cancer patients in our community access critical treatment by providing transportation assistance. Because having cancer is hard enough—getting to treatment shouldn’t be.

We’re passionate about supporting initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of Louisianans. Shuck Cancer’s commitment to helping cancer patients aligns perfectly with our values. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality care, and we’re honored to play a role in making that a reality.
