Founded by first-time restaurateur Jo’Ron Ray, the mission behind this restaurant is simple yet affirming: create a space that feels like home while celebrating the flavors and vibes that make New Orleans unique. Santa Picanha

LAFAYETTE | santapicanha.com

After living in Lafayette for the past 15 years, Brazilian-born Gustavo Rosenstengel has opened a Brazilian-style steak house in the former Scratch Kitchen space. Instead of serving all-you-can-eat portions that many people associate with this style of restaurant, Gustavo offers a casual à la carte service that focuses on community and quality. In addition to the charcoal-cooked meats, diners can expect Croquettes de Picanha (beef croquettes) and daily specials that include empanadas on Wednesdays and bacon-wrapped tri-tip steak with all the fixings on Sundays.
