Fig Syrup
 
Makes ⅓ cup
Ingredients
  • ¼ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh or preserved figs
  • ¼ cup water
Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, figs, and ¼ cup water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve set over a small bowl. Let cool completely; refrigerate until ready to use.
