Grapefruit-Ginger French 75
 
Ingredients
  • 1 ounce gin
  • 1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
  • ¼ ounce Ginger Simple Syrup (recipe follows)
  • 2 ounces sparkling rosé
  • Garnish: grapefruit peel
Ginger Simple Syrup
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger
Instructions
  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine gin, grapefruit juice, and Ginger Simple Syrup. Add ice. Shake until well chilled. Strain into a Champagne flute or coupe glass. Top with sparkling rosé. Garnish with grapefruit peel, if desired.
Ginger Simple Syrup
  1. In a small saucepan, bring sugar, ½ cup water, and ginger to a gentle boil over medium-high heat; cook until sugar completely dissolves. Let cool to room temperature. Strain syrup through a fine-mesh sieve, discarding ginger. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
