Blackening Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1½ teaspoons paprika
- 1½ teaspoons onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (reduce by half if less spice is preferred)
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black peppercorns
- Place all ingredients in a coffee grinder or spice grinder; process until combined to desired consistency.
